importing .XML subtitles to Final Cut 7

importing .XML subtitles to Final Cut 7

Trying to import an .xml file with the film's subtitles into Final Cut 7 and I keep receiving the following translation error:



Here is a screenshot of the first page of the .xml file opened in Text Edit as well:



Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Where is this XML from? It might be a newer XML format that the 9 year old software just can't read.

This is a Digital Cinema Interop XML - not a FCP XML.
FCP legacy doesn't allow to import subtitles. You need a 3rd party app like my TitleExchange Pro.
