I have a short MP4 file that a client wants me to edit. I'm trying to convert to Pro-Res, but nothing works. The file opens and plays in Quicktime, but when I export to a Pro-Res .mov, I just get a white frame (no video). It opens and plays in MPeg Streamclip as well, but when I export, I get an error message that says "Can't prepare the movie." If I try Compressor, it tells me that it's going to take 4 hours for a 1 minute clip, and that the resulting file size will be 23 GB. Something's screwy. Here are the stats for the file:

Format: AVC Coding, 1280 x 720, Millions
AAC, Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz

24 fps

1280 x 720

Do you know anyone who has Adobe Media Encoder? Might be an option as it is fairly agnostic.

Have you tried using "save as" in quicktime pro and saving as a .mov? Then putting it into compressor to convert to pro res...

That doesn't work either. It gives me a message saying that it has an incorrect time value.
