Hello!

Is inactive memory gonna be part of the Mac life? I'm currently using CleanMemory app to flush them out. It works but would be nice if there's Apple have a recommended solution to control it up front and even prevent it from accumulating.

I'm using a MacPro mid 2010 / 10 gig memory / OSX 10.8 / AvidMC, AfterEffects, Photoshop, office stuff...

Thanks!

It may be part of your "Mac life" on OS X 10.8 but on 10.10 Yosemite, memory management is done completely differently. Unless you are having problem with your Mac, I wouldn't get hung up on how it's using memory. The Apple developers are pretty smart about that stuff and utilities that "clean" your memory are, for the most part, a waste of time. OS X will clean up and reclaim unused memory as it needs to.
