"I had my favorite iPhone 4S thieved and now I have to get back my contacts without the phone. I had to switch to a new phone, ever since i could hardly afford to pay extra for another iPhone and that i only need to view the contacts which i possessed within the iphone 4s. I actually synced the iPhone to i-tunes continuously on my pc. Is there a method to retrieve the contacts but without the iPhone?"

An iPhone may possibly keep a large number of business and personal contacts in the memory space. When the contacts on your iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS lost, your job as well as daily life will be impacted more or less. One of several advantages to make use of iPhone is the fact that iTunes may automatically back up your iPhone contacts and update it when you synchronize it. Which means you obviously have a large possiblity to recover contacts through iTunes back-up.

How to recover contacts on iPhone in steps
Then learn how to get contacts from your back up file? There exists certainly a way, however, you require an iPhone contacts recovery program, and you could have my suggestion right here:Wondershare Data Recovery for iTunes (for Mac users) or Wondershare Dr.Fone (for Windows users). In addition to recovering contacts from iTunes backup, Wondershare Dr.Fone can help scan and get back contacts directly from iPhone, in case you did not lose it.

Directly scan and recover contacts from iPhone

Step1. Connect your iPhone to the computer
If you don't lose your iPhone, you can even utilize this method to retrieve your contacts. Connect your iPhone towards the pc and run the Wondershare Dr.Fone, after that an user interface as follow will appear.

Notice: If you opt to recover from iTunes back-up, switch to the "Recover from iTunes Backup File" option at the top.

Step2. Enter the DFU mode and scan iPhone
Through the user interface above, you have to enter the DFU mode based on the description within Three steps.
1. Hold your iPhone and click "Start" button.
2. Pressing "Power" and "Home" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
3. Right after 10 seconds, release "Power" button, but keep holding "Home" for another 10 seconds until you have the message of successfully entering.

From then on, the program will automatically start scanning your iPhone for lost contacts.

Step3. Preview and recover iPhone contacts
Following the scan, you are able to preview all discovered data before recovery. Select "Contacts" to preview, mark it and click "Recover", you can save all the contents on your pc with one click.

Notice: Data discovered here contains deleted data and those still on your iPhone. In case you just want back your deleted ones, you are able to refine the scan result using the slide button at bottom to only display deleted items.

If you back up to iCloud or iTunes, and have not backed up since you deleted the messages, you can restore the backup and they will come back.

Follow these steps to recover contacts from iPhone 4 directly:
•Step 1: Select the device to scan
•Step 2: Enter the DFU mode and then scan your iPhone 4
Before you perform recovery, you ought to enter the DFU mode of your iPhone. Follow the steps here:
1) Hold your iPhone and click "Start".
2) Press "Home" and "Power" button at the same time when you click "Start",and hold for 10 seconds. The program will count it for you.
3) After 10 seconds passing, release "Power" and keep pressing "Home" for another 10 seconds.
When you're told that you've successfully entered the DFU mode, the program will automatically scan your iPhone for data as follow.
•Step 3: Preview and recover deleted iPhone 4 contacts

I tried several times and was able to finally get my contacts copied over from the restore, here is how but only works if you have the restore available with the contacts still present.

1. Restore from the previous backup (you must watch your phone because you have to be ready for the next step)

2. When your phone restarts, immediately place your phone in "airplane mode" to stop it from connecting to the cloud and wiping away your contacts. (Your contacts will remain until airplane mode is turned off)

3. Within iTunes, search for and download "My Contacts Backup" which is FREE and does not need to connect to the Internet to work.

4. Within iTunes, under the iPhone, navigate to the App's tab and find "My Contacts Backup" and click the install button to have it installed onto your phone.

5. After installed, run the "My Contacts Backup" and follow the prompts. Do not change any settings, they are already properly set up. After it copies all the contacts, it is ready to e-mail out. Email them to an address you can get on your phone.

6. Turn off airplane mode (this will delete the contacts as said above but we have a backup.)

7. Open the e-mail and click on the attachment. Follow the short steps and all your contacts will re-populate.

If you are like me, this fix also took care of my iMac and iPad contacts. I have all 400 contacts back. I hope this helps if you haven't found a fix or anyone that finds this page in the future. While trying to fix this, I stumbled across software that was over $100.00 to fix this problem. This is the free way

I don't think these way will work for you. When you are going to recover deleted contacts from iPhone, you are required to check whether you have the backup on iTunes or iCloud, because iTunes can backup them when you sync every time. But you have lost these data from the last backup. So you need to seek some iOS data recovery software to help you or go to the nearest Apple shop.
