I have a ton of locked files in folders I want to trash.
Is there a shortcut key (or some other way) to trashing them without having to track down the locked files and manually unlock them all?

I don't think so. I personally run into this a lot and have to unlock every file. You could try logging in as root to see if this might work, but it might make the process even more complicated. The best way that I know how to do this is select all files the each folder and hold down option-command-I to open all files in the info window then deselect the check box for locking the files.

http://www.apple.com/support is your friend.

See the section "Deleting locked files" in this document.
