Hi everyone, quick question to anyone who might know:
Is there a way to texture map fur in Maya?
I need a small amount of fur to come from specific dark areas of a texture. I don't want to mess with the uv's as they are how I want them.
I know that when using dynamics I can apply a texture map to control where on the surface things are emitting, but I can't seem to find anything like that on fur. Is there a way? Or would I perhaps need to use hair? I don't need the fur to move or have any dynamic properties.
