Can someone recommend an authoring software for the mac to use with Adobe Premiere CC?
Today I find Encore is no longer working properly. Menus won't loop and locks out the play button.
Encore is dead.

Most important is I need to import the chapter markers from Premiere .xmp, for 2 hour programs.
Does Roxio Toast import the chapter markers?

I'm on Sierra 10.12.6

Go ahead and make your m2v file/s in/from Premiere and then go with what is/was the best authoring program on Mac, DVDSP, an evolution from "Spruce". You will still find (if you are lucky) copies of DVDSP on e-bay , but be careful as all those updates on Mac OS may leave it behind. Google to see which is the last OS to run DVDSP correctly.

I already have DVD Studio Pro 4. It is still a great program but it doesn't import chapter markers from Premeire.
I would have to put 40 plus markers in DVD SP. Its much easier to do when I am editing out black outs on the time line.
I have just found out High Sierra (next OS) will kill DVD Studio Pro and all the FC7 programs as well as iDVD.
I am now thinking I need to buy an old mac book with old OS to run Encore. That will solve the problem.

In the mean time I am still researching how to deliver mp4 to customers. That is our current modality, however consumers can easily duplicate or share the download link with everyone they know, so that may reduce sales to the point of not profitable.

Don't know Premiere, have you upgraded to high Sierra yet?

no I haven't tried High Sierra. I have read it kills all the 32 bit apps like FC7 & iDVD.
I'm holding off for a while.

I have only loaded DVD studio Pro and it opens and seems to run OK. I switched back to Adobe when FCX came out.
You may want want to check with the FC legacy forum.
