reverse motion + trim to fill

I am not able to reverse a clip and put trim to fill on it. If I first reverse the motion and than alt drag trim to fill on it the motion will get played in the right direction again. I've tried a timewarp and tried to drag the END POINT to the start hoping that would switch it but that doesn't work. If this was Premiere and I were having such trouble I would put a reverse on it and then nest the clip and then put the trim to fill on it.

So how do I do this?

And yes I have used the search feature, found old threads but not really a solution or I am just too stupid to get it so I didn't feel like bumping old threads. Thanks a lot for your consideration and help.

Bite the bullet. Export the reverse-notion shot. Re-import. Apply Trim To Fill.

Why would or should I export it and reimport it? That sounds like too much work. I applied my reverse to it and then did a video mixdown.

Because you said you couldn't do what you wanted with both effects in the timewarp category applied, that's why you do it.

Did you think this stuff is always a stroll through the woods or something?
