News: XenData to Showcase New Digital Video Innovations at NAB 2014
XenData Debuts its Latest Digital Video Archive System that Scales from 210 TB to 1.18 PB of Near-Line LTO Capacity
(Walnut Creek, California--April 1, 2014) XenData, the leading provider of LTO archive solutions to the media and entertainment industry, today announces it will be showcasing a broad range of digital video archiving solutions at the 2014 NAB Show, including the debut of the SXL-5000, a high performance scalable LTO archive that is designed for video applications.
At NAB located at the South Lower Hall, Booth SL12713, XenData will demonstrate the following solutions:
XenData SXL-5000 – This high performance turnkey LTO archive system scales from 210 TB to over 1 PB of near-line LTO capacity. Powered by XenData6 Server software, it has a standard file and folder interface used for both archive and restore operations, making it compatible with a wide range of applications used in the media industry including most media asset management systems. It ‘sets the bar’ in terms of price-performance. Find out more at this link.
XenData Cloud – XenData Cloud provides high-capacity storage in a private cloud. XenData Cloud serves as an ideal hosted disaster recovery solution for new and existing XenData customers that have volumes of digital media assets that range from 50 TB to multiple petabytes. Using UDP technology from FileCatalyst, XenData Cloud offers huge speed gains versus traditional file-transfer methods, allowing user transfer speeds many times faster than FTP.
ODA Archive System – The Sony Optical Disc Archive Libraries are now shipping and are supported by the XenData SX-520 Series of Archive Servers. XenData will be demonstrating a complete system consisting of an SX-522 server and a Sony ODS-L30M library. Find out more about the SX-520 Series for ODA at this link.
SX-10 V2 integrated into an Avid Interplay Archive Solution – The SX-10 archive appliance is now even better! It has a 4 TB disk cache, 32 GB of RAM and manages LTO libraries to 90 slots. That is 225 TB of near-line LTO capacity. XenData will be demonstrating the SX-10 V2 with an Oracle StorageTek SL-150 library interfaced to an Avid Interplay system using Nearchive from NL Technology.
