Hi,

I have a globe that I want to spin, I created a solid and made it 3d and rotated the y axis. I then added a camera

In my invigator layer I chose the spinning solid and I'm using the comp camera.

The globe does not spin, am I missing a step?

Thnaks,

Susan

Hi Susan,

There are two thinks that come to my mind:

1- You still didn't apply a texture to your sphere. It's hard to see any changes when your globe has a simple plain color.

2- You didn't refresh your Invigorator layer after linking it to the 3D layer. You need to click the Draft/Best quality switch twice
(after each animation) to do so.

Does this help?

Salut.
Serge

Thanks Serge,

I actually did do both, but it's still not working, I'm not sure what the problem is.

cheers,

Susab

Susan, Your globe was assigned to set # 5 and your tracking layer to Set # 1.

Just reassign your object in the Set-Up window to set # 1 and you are ready to go!

Best.
Serge

How crazy,

I only have the object, and I assumed that it was set one, how do I know what set the object is assigned to.

and thank you, I thought I was losing my mind.

Susan

When you import or create an object, Invigorator automatically assigns it to set1. Unless you change the prefs in the User Prefs menu.

To know in what set your object resides, just select it in the Set-Up window and you will see a set # right to the object listing menu.

Salut ;-)

Hi Susan,

By default, new objects that are created are placed into Set 1. However, you can assign objects to different Sets by going into Object Mode, and going into the "Set" drop down menu. The objects that you've selected will be assigned to the Set number that you selected in the drop down menu.

Best,
Edward
