Odd question maybe, but I can't figure a way out to do this.
I have multiple instances of 3d warps applied to 2d solids, those solids are parented to 3d plane layers in my AE comp. the problem is when i pass one 3d solid layer in front of another, the 2d solid layer (3d warp layer) doesn't actually recognize they are in 3d space.
does that make any sense?
what i'm creating is a 3d cell phone with multiple screens that rotate around the phone in true 3d space. i wanted to "bend" the screens a bit when they rotate around, and they do pass in front of one another as they pass in front of the camera.
i can send an jpeg to anyone who needs further explanation of what i mean, but is there something i'm missing. i can see where 3d warps is awesome for a single instance but with multiples it seems to fall short if the true z space doesn't apply.
