scaling a zaxwerks file in a 3d comp
on Jan 25, 2007 at 5:08:00 pm

I'm just having a drama scaling down a zaxwerks file i'v made. Basicly i'v made a 3d tap with zaxwerks invigorator v3 and i have it in a comp scene of a garden, i'v made my wall and ground and i have it stuck to the wall. so everything is fine with the tap in 3d space except it is to big compared to everything else. The tap is obviously made up of a bout 10 different sets so how do i scale them all down while keeping its position.

Any ideas you guys have will have i'm keen to hear.....

Thanks and i hope thats not to confusing...

Have you tried scaling down and repositioning the solid layer on which the Invigorator effect was applied?

Go into the Edit Screen (red ball) and select the Front view for the camera. Then select all the pieces of the tap. Now use the Scale tool (to the left of the Selection Arrow), and hold down the shift key while scaling with your mouse or Wacom. If you scale a LOT, you may need to adjust your edge scales. You can also move the pieces afterwards with the Move tool.

Hope this helps,

Kurt's suggestion is a good one. Another way to scale objects is with the stats pop-up box.
