We have not had any luck importing an .obj file of a brick into Invigorator as an AE 7.0 plugin.
Invigorator imports the shape - but not the texture.
We've been using Cinema 4D to build the 3D brick.

We found a small reference somewhere on the web that Invigorator only imports .obj files from a program called Cinema 4D Go! which is an OS 9 Classic program.

We need to get a handle on this so we can move on to the next part of our project.
I would appreciate any tips or tricks that would help us successfully import an .obj file into Invigorator.

thanks,

Hi Jim,

If you've imported the brick shape and it's correct, the issue is probably whether you've used uv mapping to apply the texture to the object. Check out the faq on the Zaxwerks site for more tips on importing 3D objects from other apps.

Hi Jon,
Yes, apparently UV mapping was an issue for us.
Since my post, we have tried using Maya instead of Cinema 4D.
As of this post, we are still working out the kinks - but we're optimistic that changing programs and utilizing UV mapping will give us better results.

Thank you for your reply.
