Hello,

I am very new to 3d invigorator so please excuse the simple question.
I wanted to use our company logo as an object, so I dropped it into Illustrator,
then converted it to an Illustrator file (I Think). When I open up Invigorator within After Effects
it doesn't like the Illustrator file telling me that it has no Vector Paths.
Being new to Illustrator and Invigorator I'm not sure what I need to do
to use an existing logo in 3D Invigorator.

Thanks For Any Advice

Dave

Hi Dave.

Welcome to our Invigorated world.

If your company logo is bit-mapped, you'll need to redraw it in Illustrator as a vector-based object. Simply saving an Illustrator docuument with a placed jpg or something else won't do it.

If you get stuck, please let us know. We'll be glad to help.

Thank's for the reply Jon. I guess I have some homework to do then!
I'm enjoying working with text in Invigorator. It really is a very
intuative GUI. Now if I can do a decent job in illustrator I'm all set.

Thanks Again

Dave

Hello Again Jon,

Okay, I think I'm getting there.I Created an Illustrator file that will import into
Invigor, however I just get a solid shape all one colour, with just a hint of the
lettering when you turn it.
Having Fun with it anyway!

Hi Dave,

This is normal. You'll need to move some of the elements forward on the z axis in the set-up window. You'lll also want to adjust the depth of some of the objects as you go. One tip: do all of this in the set up window before you start animating sets.

Thanks Again Jon,

It's a very cool program especially for what it costs.
I needed something new to get out of a creative funk :-)
