Hi David,

If you run into issues, try saving your CS2 files with the compression option off. Whether you choose PDF compatibility shouldn't matter.

Reason why i ask, is that when i attempt to bring an AI file in to Animator pro it tells me i don't have enough memory.

Thanks Jon for responding. I heard your interview on the Cow podcast i thought it was the most interesting cast since the start.

All the best

David

Thanks David, glad you liked the interview. Maybe you could email me the AI file and I'll test it in my system, then we can narrow the problem down.

best,

Okay, your problem is that the file you are trying to use is not prepared correctly. I guess you either received it like this or imported this layer from Photoshop. Either way, you need to "recreate" this logo in Illustrator so that it is in "vector" form (made of paths). Maybe your client can provide an EPS file for you to use...

Hi Jon

Well i have constructed a shape using paths in illustrator and then import it in to animator but still i get the same "not enough memory" thing. Maybe i am just not able to do this thing.

All the best

David

Hi David,

Tell us about your system and version of ProAnimator to help us track down potential reasons for memory errors.

As John Dickinson (the other John) said, the files you're making should be Illustrator format, with shapes and paths.... bit-mapped graphics will not work.

One more question for you. Can you open any of the objects or project files that came with the software without getting memory errors?

Jon
