The Plus and Minus of Keypad trimming

One thing I really like in M100 is the Edit in the Timeline features.
The problem I have though- after my step up from 8.2 to LHe- is that the Keypad Plus and Minus trimming features don't behave as they used to.
In all versions of M100 I've been using since, what, 1.12(?) or something like that, it worked well. Trimming pointer at the end/beginning of a clip and + or - on keypad would show me a live update of the frames I'm addding or cutting to the actual clip.
Now I can still trim clip by one frame with Plus or Minus keys or 5 frames with the * or / keys, BUT the thing is that I don't see live interactions with the clip on the timeline, NOR the video being affected in the Subsample/Video Monitor attached, until I release the mouse. So getting to the next image change in a clip drives me nuts, hitting + release mouse to see, hit + release, hit + release, hit + release, etc.
Is anyone experiencing this kind of situation with Trimming in the Timeline feature?
Or maybe I should think working differently? I'm open to any suggestions...
