Ever since version 12 we have an issue when importing audio from a different sample rate than the timeline i.e 44.1khz from a cd to 48 khz programm. the audio has a high frequency signal embedded after import. Ff the file is converted to 48khz in qt player before import the file is ok.
there is also a suggestion which would help using and selling m100:
change the SD2 audio codec to AIFF. I think m100 is the last software that uses SD2 on the market, and it slows down all the export to any other programs due to the necessity of transcoding the audio. One of the reason the xml export to and from FCP takes ages is the audio, because it's not compatible and needs to be transcoded. Please do something ASAP. I have 3 customer who switch to FCP in the last 3 month because of this, and I can't blame them for taking that step. they needed a mobile system with sdi I/O which AJA I/O HD does, but this hardware solution is not supported by m100. if XML transfer between m100 and fcp would have been faster they would have kept the m100 system.
