Media 100i, revived

Though we've moved our editing suites to FCP, we'd like to keep our old M100i (v8.2.3) computer functional, just in case we need to resurrect a project from 12 years of editing on the M100. Here are a couple questions:

Can the M100i (v8.2.3) software run under Leopard (and QT4.1)? (The machine currently is on 10.4.9, I think, but they'd like to re-format & upgrade the OS)

We found the 8.2.1 installer CD for M100. Was 8.2.1 the "paid upgrade" that was required to upgrade to 8.2.2 and 8.2.3? (Or was it 8.2.2? I forget!)

In short, anyone see a downside or incompatibility to re-formating the drive and installing Leopard and installing M100 8.2.1 & 8.2.3 on a "Firewire 800 (2x1.42) G4"? (The M100 card is still inside the G4)

Thanks for any help!
-Philip.

Media 100i 8.2.3 will not support Leopard. 8.2.3 is a paid upgrade from 8.2.1. 8.2.3a has support for Tiger coded within it.

You can upgrade to Media 100 Producer or the new Media 100 Suite (which will work with your AJA Hardware). Media 100 Producer is $995. Media 100 Suite is $1495, but previous Media 100 owners can upgrade for $995 for a limited time.

...and your Media 100 documents will move forward to the new software (8.2.1--->>>V 12)

[David Colantuoni] "8.2.3 is a paid upgrade from 8.2.1. 8.2.3a has support for Tiger coded within it.
"

Dave, are you sure about that? I thought the upgrade from V8/V8.1 to V8.2 was a paid upgrade, and everything above V8.2 to V8.2.3(a) was free...

Oh, I don't know, whatever free or not. My point is it's time for an upgrade. We can't make it any easier to upgrade or less expensive at this point.

[David Colantuoni] "My point is it's time for an upgrade. We can't make it any easier to upgrade or less expensive at this point. "

You´re definitely right about that. And once you got addicted to the benifits of the new systems you will have a hard time going back...
