Hi!

Thinking about buying an HDe, does anybody know if it is compatible with the eight core Mac machines?

Thanks,

Jj

V11.6.2 does run on the 8core systems (although as far as I know is not fully tested; but I am running it for some weeks without troubles). So I would guess V12 will work on 8Core systems also.

We do not have one here yet to test, so it is not "officially" approved. But customers have been using it without an issue since we released 11.6.2.

Yes,
I have version 11.6.2 running on my dual 3GHz 8 core MacPro with 4Gb RAM very nicely. If you do buy yourself an 8 core, ensure you download 11.6.2 from M100's website BEFORE you start editing otherwise the chances are, M100 will not work properly.

I have, however come across a persistent bug in that when I setup all my ip/op parameters in a particular codec, on occasion, the audio input during acquire is not available, even though all connections are correct and you can hear it!!!!! The only way to ensure audio in comes up on the audio window is to quit the project and open it right up again. Audio input comes up OK. Not a big deal but something that should be looked into by M100 engineers.

Go for it!!!

The Kona 3 has a machine control problem and I don't know if it's a 8 core issue but that's what we have it on. It freezes 38 frames then will paly during master to tape. Media100 is working on the problem.
