Bobby, You might be able to answer this question for me. We shoot XDCAM, then edit it HD on Final Cut. We master/archive to the PDW-F70 deck through an AJA Kona box.

Is there a way to make a standard def DVD from the PDW-F70? I want the picture to be 16X9 with letterboxing on the top and bottom. I don't want to stretch the picture nor cut anything off.

Thank you.

sorry for the late reply, thomas, but yes. since the PDWF70 has an SD out, you can change the output of hte SD output to be either letterbox, anamorphic, or crop. i am not in front of my deck right now, but i have done it in the past for vhs burn in's. it will be under the setup menu.
