Hello,

can anyone tell me, if Media100i 8.2.3a and Producer are project compatible?

At 8.2.3a Download it is said:
"Media 100i is now compatible with Media 100 HD and Media 100 sw. This allows you to
seamlessly move media between systems."

But at Producer Product Info it is said:
"Ability to move programs backward and forward between Media 100 version 11.x systems"

Second Question is:
Is a "network-RAID-Fileserver" (example: http://www.infrant.com/products/products_details.php?name=ReadyNAS%201000S )
fast enough to work the same time with Media100i/orHDe and Producer?

You can move MEDIA back to 8.2.3a, not bins or programs or projects.

[AlexxG] "can anyone tell me, if Media100i 8.2.3a and Producer are project compatible?"

As SoftHarbor says, you can move media files from Producer to V8.2.3 and vice versa. But "Project data" (timelines, bins and Projects) can be moved only from V8 to Producer and not back. You can exchange all those data between Producer and V11(.5) hardware based systems.

It depends on what you want to do and what data rates you need. Producer and HDe can work in Uncompressed 10bit HD mode, and then this box is definitely not fast enough. If you

Thank you (both) very much for your replies.
So I think we will "upgrade" to HDe or SDe.

Until now we only work with SD-Material compressed with 360 kBit(?) (maximum quality in Media100i).
But in the Future the Footage-Server should be fast enough after a switch to HD-Material.
Which solution would be fast enough? What about the "FibreChannel-Server" you talk about on your homepage?

Excuse my bad english, but I don

Thank you very much Floh for your explaination and spending so much time.
I think it is enough information to discuss what solution will be best for our needs.
