Hello Floh,
I did according to to your advice and changed the hardware codec in my
Media 100 xr 8.2.2 to the software codec and the"COMPRESSOR" starts working
without any problems.
But on the other hand the I DVD that worked before is not responding to
MOV.clips I'm bringing from the Media 100.
The I DVD is accepting the clip, but in the stage of rendering the movie,it anounces
of error. When I preview the I DVD project before, the movie played in small frame. Now
when i preview - it comes full frame.
Is it all connected?

This is related to the software codec and should not cause any errors.

What error message do you get, and what version of OSX, QuickTime and iDVD do you use? I

There is definitely an issue between M100 and iDVD (or perhaps Compressor)
I can no longer encode M100 files, either self-contained or reference,
with iDVD. This was my way of churning out quick client previews.
On a G5 with 10.4, latest iDVD, QT etc, M100 softwar codec installed or NOT installed, it won't encode, either quiting entirely or just sitting there.
Same result on a G4 10.3.8, M100 hardware, no go.

I need to test compressor by itself at some point

Jim

Hi
I put back the hardware codec component,
and the I DVD is working fine.
In order to use the Compressor
I'm putting back the software codec component.
Not so convenient but at least working.
There is no need to install again just to switch
between the two.
I hope there is a permanent solution.
