There was a discussion last year about the annoying feature introduced in M100 v8.1 that makes clips in a bin automatically update to reflect any changes made in the Edit Suite; whenever you double click a clip in a bin to load it into the Source Viewer, as soon as you drag the revised clip into the timeline, the changes you made show up in the bin, just as though you'd hit Apply in the Edit Suite. At the time, Floh saved the day by suggesting a workaround: use COMMAND-double click to call the clip up from the bin, automatically making a duplicate clip to which the changes get applied. He also suggested that disgruntled users of v8 write to Scott Donahue to complain. I'm wondering whether anything was ever done, and if there is some kind of update to 8.2 that provides a better solution to this problem. I find that bins grow unweilding with a new clip every time you try changing a shot, and it's annoying having to delete that duplicate clip every time if you don't want to keep it. Have editors simply got used to this feature? Thanks.
