Hey guys having a few problems and trying to find some help. I'm an audio guy so bear with me.
We're trying to start audio post production on a new project but we seem to be having some problems with the audio and video syncing up. The video editors we've been working with are using Media 100 (version 5.?) which doesn't support OMF. To work around this we were sent an EDL from the company which we imported into Final Cut Pro. We then went ahead and re-imported all the clips manually.
The clips were then turned into an OMF and imported into ProTools. A VHS movie (with Timecode Burnin) was also converted to a quicktime file and imported into PT's. Once the video was lined up, the omf was imported into the session. Unfortunatley the video and the OMF audio were 6 seconds out of sync. After it was moved the 6 frames it then floated a frame or two throughout the duration of the video.
Any thoughts on why the EDL would be off by 6 seconds??
