Copy Mask from One Clip to Another in SG CS6
on Nov 23, 2015 at 3:37:11 pm

Hello all, I have a very basic beginner question about using masks in Speedgrade. I'm new to this, so please forgive me.

Is there a way to copy a mask from one clip to another? For instance, I have a very simple shot-reverse shot sequence going on. As you can see below, my sequence cuts back and forth between a man and a woman. The mask I'm using is to correct the man's shirt because it's too bright. I'm using the mask tracking feature because the shot slowly zooms in. So, again, I'm sorry if this is a ridiculously dumb question, but do I have to create a new mask every time it cuts back to the man or is there a way to copy and paste the mask so that it's generally in the right place and I can customize it?

Does any of that make sense?

Your desperately,
Collin
