Hello, I've ben doing a lot of tests with SG as I think it's an interesting workflow that solves a lot of problems but amongst other things the rendering speed of the program is just not up to snuff. If I take a 30 second spot and just add one layer it's fine, I believe it took 15-20 seconds to render the entire spot. But just adding another primary with an ellipse mask to brighten up an area and then adding that look to every shot of the spot - 25 seconds actual video - the rendering time shot up to 3 minutes! I'm really trying to give this program a fair shot but for any sort of lengthy project like a 30 minute show I'm working on SG is just completely out of the question.
I did a similar thing to some 4k stills and the rendering was 5-10 seconds a frame or something like that. I hate to say it but the same thing in Resolve was like a bug on the windshield. It just blew right through it.
