Speedgrade CC Oct. Update Crashes instantly with Mercury Transmit
on Nov 11, 2013 at 9:44:08 pm

I just updated my AJA IOXT drivers to 10.4.9 and Adobe AJA Plug-Ins for Adobe Creative Cloud - Mac v10.4.8 and when I try to monitor on an external device the program crashes immediately. This renders Speedgrade CC useless! Any solutions? No third party plugins installed. Thanks, John

Yes, same thing here. In another Cow thread someone said the Aja had acknowledged the issue and were working on a fix. Hopefully it will be solved soon.

I ran into this today (first time using the new SpeedGrade)

on a mac:
move /Users/USER/Documents/Adobe/SpeedGrade/7.0/settings/User_Settings.XML to reset to default SG settings (Transmit disabled)

I put mine on the desktop.

works now, but no external monitor output until aja updates it

If you need external monitoring, you can uninstall CUDA as a workaround.

If you are lucky enough to have a graphics card that supports both CUDA and Open CL, you can switch the Mercury acceleration to OpenCL and everything will work fine...with monitoring through the Kona.

A real fix for the problem is being worked on, according to a posting by an Adobe employee on their forum.

Thanks John. I happen to have a late 2012 iMac and do have the option of Cuda or OpenCL, though it's not really making any difference. Really looking forward to actually being able to use this thing!

You have to manually uninstall the CUDA extension from your system folder and reboot. Just switching to OpenCL won't do it.

You should posting on adobe's forum, as well as on the cow. It's more closely monitored by Adobe technicians than here.

Any updates on this issue? I checked the Adobe forums too but no one has updated...
