Brian Cooneysome video/graphic files wirelessly
by on Jan 21, 2012 at 2:33:43 pm

I wasn't sure where else to post this question. My old airport base station crapped out so I ordered a new one yesterday (on its way). I've had the old one (original model) since 2004. When I was talking to the salesperson from apple they told me that my new wireless connection would be 1.5x faster than Ethernet. My question, I have in the past, accessed some video and graphic files for use in video projects being edited in Final Cut Studio via an office network via Ethernet. It would be impractical to edit HD off it I'm sure, but if I had long term files... some smaller video or graphic and music files, would a hardrive connected to the USB jack on the base station and transmitted wirelessly give me some possibilities for accessing files via multiple computers? - thanks, Brian
