FCP 7 to FCPX

I have a client looking for a project that we created 7 years ago. I think that FXP7toX is probably the way to go, however I have a different situation:

I have FCP7.03 on a different start up drive on my mac. It's on OSX 10.6.8

I also have High Sierra on a newer start up drive with FCPX.

I need to grab a project from FCP 7 from the 10.6.8 startup disk and import it into FCPX on a my High Sierra startup disk, but I'm not sure how to do that since the different drives have different operating systems.

Is this possible? If so can you give me the steps?

Or do you have a different idea?

Thanks so much.

The older FCP7 files are simple doc and resources.
However, you will need to use a utility to convert that doc to an XML for FCPX.
Sorry, I forgot the name of the app.

The operating system doesn't have a lot to do with it really.

You open the project in FCP7, check that it's ok and make any adjustments recommended in the 7toX documentation. Export that project from FCP7 as XML,

You then boot back to high Sierra, run 7toX and it translates the XML into fcpxml. Open that in FCPX and start resolving any issues from the translation.

That's about all there is to it.
