Auto activate fonts in FCPX with Rightfont

Fontactivation has always been a bit of pain in FCPX. If you activate the font you have to restart the software to use it. And if you don't know which font you have used FCPX won't help you with finding it.

Today I saw this piece of software: https://rightfontapp.com/font-auto-activation/final-cut-pro

Do someone has experience with Rightfont?

Gr, Michiel

I don't. Looks promising. But I'd assume you'd still have to relaunch FCPX if that's normally the case.

Wow. Intriguing. Will have to test.

But yes, either way, if the font was not yet active upon starting FCP you'll have to restart. But with the speed of FCP's restarts… not exactly an issue imho.

I've tried. The biggest help it tells you what font you are missing. Then it activates the font. And yes, you have to restart FCPX to really show and use it.

I asked the guys from FontAgent (the program I use for activation fonts) and they told me FCPX don't let other software activate the fonts like the Adobe Creative Suit. So it's simply not possible.

But better a partial solution then no solution.
