Can I sync boomed audio to existing camera audio with Pluraleyes and AMC?
on Aug 6, 2019 at 4:39:00 am

Greetings folks. New to this forum but very glad to see you exist...!
I am working on a huge documentary from footage I did not shoot. What was handed to me was Quicktime files with the original camera audio married to it - and now I am hoping to re-sync the video with external boomed audio (which, obviously, sounds much better). Can Pluraleyes 3.5 (I was told by a Red Giant rep that 3.5 is the latest that works with Avid) do this for me? I was under the impression Pluraleyes analyzed waveforms and could see what my current audio was - then analyze new audio I gave it and re-sync...?
What I am experiencing now with P3.5 is it imports and immediately analyzes the footage exported from AMC as an AAF - but it won't seem to let me import and/or direct it to the new, boomed audio I really want to sync and use...
Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance...
Tom
