footage is pixelated - can someone check if this is normal?

I got some greenscreen footage I am supposed to key. the problem is that the footage is really bad. I can deal with the noise and the grain but I am very concerned about the fact that everything seems very pixelated.

i would really appreciate if someone could take a look at one test clip and confirm that I am not blind. the DP messed up in my opinion. something's very wrong here.

here is the link to the test clip

thx a lot

nope .it's not pixelated.
it's typical H.264 compression.
All u need is some enhancement to get rid of this artifact.
Try Neat plugin or denoiser by RedGiant
But in some cases depending on the composite background u can get a decent key without any denoiser.
Also a deartifacter plugin can be the solution.
check Red Giant Composite Wizard.
good Luck

I'm with Steve. Footage seems to be o.K. I had to key worse ;)

If you're using After Effects for keying you could put an adjustment layer with the median filter (value between 2 and 4) applied to it above the footage. Set the transfer mode of the adjustment layer to color and precomp the two layers and then try keying.

The median filter in color transfer mode reduces color-compression artifacts. Most useful with 4:2:0 material like yours.
