Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017: No video !
on Sep 13, 2017 at 2:00:22 pm

Hello America, Hello the world

I'm a french dude, big fan of David Blaine and I would like to start editing some of my street magic videos.

Here is the problem :

All the videos I use come from an iPhone 6s (.Mov)
When I create a sequence, i can hear the sound but i don't have the image, no matter what i do.

It seems that the whole problem is due to a codec issue: I actually can not find H264 pre-config in the settings of my version of Adobe Premiere pro CC 2017.

How can I get this H264 setting ?
Are there any other possible cause ?

Some info:

TOSHIBA Qosmio x870
Intel (R) core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.4GHz
8 Go
System: 64 bits

My pilots and both Premiere pro and Adobe reader are up to date.

Don't hesitate to ask me anything that could be relevent for you guys to help me
Thanks so much for reading

Have a great day

Beny-eng

Someone else can help you with the H.264 codec issue. I'm concerned with the frame rate.

At what frame rate did you shoot? Did you use a third-party app to force your iPhone to shoot at a constant frame rate?

If you did not, you will probably have problems. iPhones alone with no third-party apps shoot at a VARIABLE frame rate. But Premiere Pro needs video at a CONSTANT frame rate. Without video at a constant frame rate, you will have problems if you need audio to be synchronized with the video.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's the truth.

Might want to install just the QT codec not the player.
If your footage is variable framerate Premiere cannot handle this.
Convert to constant framerate with Handbrake before bringing it into Premiere.

Thank you cow boys

I shot with DJI GO APP that, I believe, implies a constant frame rate

Here is the analysis of one of my footage using mediainfo:

Since you're French, I hope you intended to shoot at 59.94 frames per second, because your screen shots indicate you did.

It's a perfectly fine frame rate, but not common in European countries. It's common in the USA. I would have thought you would shoot at 50 frames per second.
