Quicker way to convert title text elements in to a matched caption layer?

Premiere Pro CC 2017

I have created a video that has text graphics, made using the Type Tool. I found out today that instead of on screen, styled text titles, my client wants captions instead (.SRT file).

I know how to create a caption layer and copy/paste the content from the text layer elements to match the timecode.

My question is, is there a faster/automated way to do this? I have a few hours worth of footage with 100 or so titles to convert.

Copy and paste is all I can see with this one.
Unless its in a text file then maybe a third-party app.
I just had to do a tv spot with both SD/HD caption version.
It was easy to copy and paste from within sequence.

Hey Dave,

How did you create a caption layer and copy/paste the content from the text layer elements to match the timecode?

This would be of great help to me if I knew how to do it!

You can't do that efficiently in Premiere - only with tedious manual copy paste.

If you are working on Mac OS there is my premiereTitles:

You can drop me an email and I can send you a download link for the pre-release version.
