Reconnecting Media as in FCP7 workflow
on Jun 13, 2017 at 12:50:49 pm

Hey there,
So I've been using Premiere for quite some time now and I still couldn't figure out a way to reconnect my graded files as I used to in FCP7.
In FCP I'd just duplicate the clips in my timeline and then make them independent (make independent clips button). After that I`d reconnect the media from the top ones and check if everything reconnected as it should. It was really fast and worked smoothly most of the time.
Since I work with a group of people we can't just make the media offline and reconnect to the bin with the graded material, as we could end up losing some steps of our workflow and that's a no no.

So my question is:
Is there a similar and as fast non-destructive workflow in Premiere Pro?

Obs: I'm aware that I can use the "replace a clip match frame" but it takes too long for bigger projects.

Thank you all.
