I have a video art file which I am creating for the surface of a geometric LED video sculpture made of 3 LED panel arches.
In after effects I can move sections of the flat video to mimic the shape of the sculpture, like this:
The flat vide is on the right and the distorted sections that make up the shape of the sculpture are on the left.
This is great because I can preview how the video content will look when its applied to the shape of the LED sculpture.
The problem I have is that after effects is quite terrible at doing fine and precise edits to a technical musical beat. I find that Premiere is much more intuitive with its realtime workflow, cutting of video and rate stretch.
Is it possible for me to create that second window in Premiere that shows me how the video will look in the shape of the sculpture, similar to the way I have done in AE?
