DNG to dark?

I am new to working with DNG files, I got this from some guys in the field shooting on a FS-700 with an Odyssey unit. I have brought it into Resolve and tried to make it usable but I am getting noise and just crappy results. Does anyone know if this is beyond repair?

May we assume that's a frame before Resolve? I bet we can.
I barely see a hooded person in shadow. But there's absolutely no image detail in the shadows. In my opinion it can't be salvaged.

Cool new cameras still need light on the subject. And proper exposure is always a plus.

Thanks! Correct that is before any grading, I am not sure what they were doing out there.....if there were like, "they will fix it in post".

There is actually a harvested bear in the bottom of the frame...

Thanks again!

If you're filming to a RAW format it still needs to be exposed properly. It's not a magical fix it in post format.

use premiere lumetri, then enable the HDR checkbox. then push the shadows all the way up.
