Does Windows 10 run Premiere better significantly than windows 7 ?

Is it worth the upgrade , the disruption etc..

I am upgrading my CPU , so naturally I thought that windows 10 would get the better from the new intel i7 chips ,
but I have one program that relies on windows 7 and would like to keep that ....

If for no other reason than to keep the applications you need, stick with Win7. That would be reason enough for me! I have heard of NO significant advantages in going to Win10.

Initially, I though you meant going to CC 2017. PP CC 2015.3 is reputed to be darned good. PP CC 2017 is reputed to be a dog.

Windows 7 will work just fine. I actually like Windows Vista better but Adobe and Blackmagic Design dropped support for Vista about 2 years ago : (
