Edit clip in Adobe Audition
on Nov 11, 2016 at 12:11:20 pm

Hi,
I like to use 'edit clip in audition' from the Timeline, that has been working fine for me in all versions prior to CC 2017.
In the 2017 release that option is still there but grayed out. From the Edit menu I can't edit the clip either. I can edit the sequence in audition but it is taking an age to convert Mxf to whatever format audition requires.

I note that CC 2017 has improved audio capability but does that mean Audition support has been disabled? de-emphasised?
thanks
mark

thanks Ann, that works!

It does seem to be much slower than before, doing a render and replace.
But I didn't do a measured test, I will do that over the weekend.

Did you install Audition first this time? That seems to be the kicker according to what I read on the adobe forum. Premiere can't see Audition unless Audition is already installed.

yes I did do that, I sort of guessed that was the problem once Ann mentioned to reinstall.

When I did the original install I did 'Update All' so I left the update order to Adobe. With hindsight I should have managed the order myself.

I do still have another problem though, when I do 'edit clip with audition' only one track shows up in Audition. Premiere does a render and replace on all tracks but Audition only [seems to] pick up one. I accidently discovered that if you edit the clip again in Audition - all tracks show up.

I think that is another problem though.
