I'm having trouble with my audio synch ever since I started using an external monitor connected via Thunderbolt through a BlackMagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor.
Doing so makes my audio playback out of synch with the video output on my monitor.
Now, I know this is expected behavior. If I connect my speakers to my monitor via miniJack, the audio is synched, but causes some other issues, the most problematic being a major volume drop (by about 50%), and audio scrub not functionning properly, which is hampering my editing sessions.
So, my question is, is there anyway to keep my audio coming out of my speakers connected in the line out of my computer, and offset the playback so that the audio is synch with my video output on my monitor?
Working on a MacPro w/ Premiere Pro CC 2016, but this question also applies to DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro 7, which have the same issues. I just use Premiere the most.
