Hey all! I'm editing a video with many clips, transitions, and other effects. It's about 4 hours long total.

Is there a way with Premiere (or Media Encoder) to split the export into 30 minute parts as it's encoding? I'd much rather have part1, part2, etc than a 4 hour video. :)

Not that I'm certainly aware of. I think you'll have to restart the encoding process. But you can start uploading Part 1 to YouTube as soon as it's done (while the rest is still encoding) and will still probably save a lot of time.

Sure -- on the timeline, set an in point and an out point. PP will export only that portion of the timeline. Naturally, it will be a wise thing to note the times of the ins & outs as you go along.

or...split your edit into 4 parts through 4 sequences.

I dont know anyone that would sit thru a 4 hour video no matter what it was about.! Just saying. Ha.

Well, it would have to be REALLY good or able to collect a cult following. Binge watching, y'know....

I'll guess such a judgement of quality isn't the strong suit of people who offer tips on editing software.
