Am I correct, after much internet searching, that there is no way to limit the time of a capture from an analog source like a VHS tape? I'm starting the classic home video archive project many others have embarked on, and it sure would help project efficiency if I could set a tape capturing when I leave the house, and tell it to stop after 2 hours, for instance. You'd think after all these years, and with Audition having this feature for audio, this would be a simple thing. Right now I can only capture when I'm available in the house with a timer. :-)
I'm using Premiere CC 2015 with a Matrox MX02 mini.
If you could get your hands on a VHS deck that had a RS422 remote control then you could use an I/O device to set your capture time. Otherwise it'll run until your hard drive is full or when you'd stop it.
