Hi, Guys.

I am editing in a 1080p timeline, using 4096x2160 and 2048x1080 footage. Not fully understanding both Premiere's "Scale to Frame Size" and "Set to Frame Size", I accidentally used the "Scale to Frame Size" as a starting point and then did all sorts of "ken burns"-style animation work on the clips. I then saw this video: https://vimeo.com/177175274 that explains that I should have started with "Set to Frame Size" and worked from there. Will I have to eye match all of my animation, or is there an easier solution?

Just curious, have you tried unchecking "Scale" and checking "Set" to see if it affected any of your work?

As far as I can see, you can only do this with your clips selected. When I switch to "Set to Frame Size" all my animation is obliterated.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Bummer! However, does what you've done look good? Is there a need to change it to "Set"? If I remember correctly, you only need to do that if you intend to scale your video. Did setting it to "Scale" lower the resolution drastically? If not, well, I can't say don't sweat it, I don't do what I do professionally or for clients. But I do know that sometimes the only reason one can see glitches or burps is because one is aware of them.

"Scale" is scaling the footage to the sequence and doing all changes to that resolution. So if you use that and scale up you're losing info.
"Set" sets the scale value to fit the sequence and keeps the original resolution when doing scaling.
