It seems to me like everytime I make a change to the video / audio on the timeline, Premiere needs some time to render out or process the changes.
And the Program screen changes to a kind of split view

This has never happened to me before, and as far as I am aware, Premiere doesn't need to do any rendering in between edits ?

It's extremely annoying as you can imagine, as I have to wait several seconds after every single change (like moving / cutting the clip for example).

Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to get around it ?
Thanks!

You might have "Composite Preview During Trim" checked. Click on the wrench in the timeline and see if that is the case.

I couldn't even find that setting.
Working with CC 2015.
