Shaul Doverframe rate modify and XML export
by on Jul 12, 2016 at 8:34:47 pm

I'm trying to do a round trip from Premiere pro cc 2015 to De Vincci Resolve 12.5.

In Premiere I have a mix media with different frame rate, I made all frame rate the same through Interpret footage.

When I open the xml in Resolve, it will not recognize the files that where modify in Interpret footage.

What will be the fastest way without compromise quality to get it done?
Thanks.

If you want to maintain control over individual clips in DaVinci Resolve, you'll have to work with clips that have already had the frame rates conformed, and use them to replace the interpreted clips in your PP timeline.

Obviously this means you need to conform the clips in a different application, or in PP, exporting the clips and re-importing.

Interpret footage changes are only kept in Premiere. It will not change the actual files' framerate so Resolve won't find the timecodes you're using in Premiere. You could however do the same interpretation in Resolve's media pool before importing the XML.
