Hello Folks.

I am trying to combine a video animation I created with a music track (I did not create) and have set up the timeline to include both video and music track.

At one point in the sequence I am trying to make the video longer so that it synchronises with the words onscreen in the video track.

I am not having any luck with this. I have tried cutting the video at the point where I want it to match the soundtrack and extending the duration of that section of the video only, but that does not seem to affect how long the video clip lasts for (i.e. setting a longer duration does not seem to make any difference).

I am very new to Premier and would really appreciate some guidance on what I might be dong wrong?

Thanks in advance.

You can read about changing clip speed or duration here.
