As usual, be careful with updates and do not do them unless you have plenty of time to troubleshoot and never during a project. In my case, the latest Sapphire plugins do not work, scratch discs were reset and no previous project would open without freezing Premiere. You might want to read that last bit again. I am working around this by creating new projects and importing the previous projects into them.

Not sure what they did, but playing back 4k files on my older Mac Pro is a lot smoother now. I used to have to go to 1/4 resolution to get somewhat smooth playback and now I can playback at full res. Good job Adobe!

Wow! Thanks for the heads up, Chris.

I was just thinking about going home and updating tonight. Probably need to finish my project first ;)

Another concern is Lumetri LUTs in the Lumetri Color Control. These have been changed, re-arranged and streamlined. To me, they are now much better. But, if you have an older project that you open in the new version - and you used a lot of these LUTs - many will come up missing. Before losing the previous version of Premiere, open the application package (on a Mac, Show Package Contents) and navigate to Lumetri - LUTs. Then copy the three folders to another location on your hard drive. Now if you open an old sequence and a LUT is missing, you can navigate to the right option from before using the Browse command.

Looking forward to the Lumetri updates most. (and that smoother 4k playback someone mentioned.

I have found every other release to be stable for me....i think this one should be hahah.

But I always clone a system disk update first just to be sure.

Anyone know if the Boris products like Continuum V9, are compatible with today major Adobe CC update? The new CC features are great, but no point updating if the plugins don't work.

I'm running BCC10 and it's fine. Not sure about BCC9.

I'd rather wait and buy the Box Set upgrade. Guess I'll upgrade Adobe and take a chance....

Anyone having issues with mercury transmit? Playing to a desktop is fine but I'm unable to ouput a signal through my Blackmagic Studio 4K to the flanders monitor.

Mercury Transmit Playback through my Blackmagic 4K Extreme is the same as before RE: it works with Blackmagic sequences but not with some source formats like Sony XAVC. Seems to be a driver issue as it does work with my Matrox MXO2. I use the Blackmagic mainly because it works with DaVinci Resolve.

Welp, I feel like a dope. My sequence settings were crazy and it wasn't outputting the right signal.

Thanks for the lightbulb/face palm moment. Time for more coffee.

I got an email from Red Giant stating that their plugins are compatible with a free update. FYI.

Not surprising, however, at this end all is fine. I usually create ProRes-based settings. In some cases, you might want to reinstall the BMD software. Occasionally it wants to be the last thing installed after some of these updates.

My save file was completely messed up after the update. All my key frames and chroma work from a previous project were not matched up at all. Everything appeared to be zoomed in and messed up. I fixed the issue by going to the "Select Playback Resolution" and switching from 1/2 to "Full." Not sure why the update did that.

[Jason Warfe] "My save file was completely messed up after the update."

Mine seem OK, although some of my LUT settings in Lumetri are messed up. Even after pointing to the correct LUT, some apply and some don't. So I had to re-correct a number of shots in my timeline.

Pretty good here but all my Lumetri presets and custom ones were mixed up or gone. I've only opened one project but had to manually reload nearly every clip with the correct LUT. Premiere 2015.3 has reassigned most of the clips with the Phantom LUT.

Updated last week and am having two major issues:
1) Adobe Premiere Pro loads all Genarts Sapphire effects plug-ins on the launch screen, but they are not available under the effects tab. It's like Premiere simply cant find them anywhere (After Effects finds them just fine).

2) Also in Adobe Premiere: If I apply Ultra Key to a clip and attempt to adjust the "Contrast" slider, the program monitor and all external video output goes black. Video playback is lost until Premiere is restarted... and lost again if the playhead touches the clip with the Ultra Key plugin.

Same here with Ultra Key - I don't even have to adjust the "Contrast" slider. Within a few seconds of opening the project, all playback screens with a clip showing in them go black - even the bin thumbnail players!

Three weeks into testing Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 has revealed numerous issues--some are quite literally show-stoppers. Adobe's Premiere forum is buzzing with similar reports. My advice for anyone employing Premiere in a business environment is to continue using 2015.2 until the next patch/release from Adobe. They've been good to us for a long time ...they'll fix it!

Thanks. Except for the LUT issues, I haven't run into any if these. I wonder if these issues skew more towards Windows or towards Mac.

I am having issues with the lumetri scope that make them unusable. Anyone else seen this?

I've been posting there in my own thread:

Everyone says it's a PC AMD Issue. I'm on a MAC
I went ahead and posted a video in the same section
