I'm currently working on a music video, and am using the spherize effect (along with a few others) to create a pulse which emanates from the musicians. Unfortunately, I've noticed that increasing the radius over time to anything above 400ish causes the entire video to start shaking up or down by several pixels, both in the editor and when rendered. I've tried searching the web, but nothing seemed to come up.
Does anybody know what could be causing this, or any similar methods for achieving the same effect?
It might be the compression of your source footage.
You can run a test -- using something other than PP, transcode a few of the original clips used in conjunction with your spherize effect. Use a good intermediate codecto transcode the original clips; quicktimes in the Photo JPEG codec would be good. Import the transcoded clips, apply the effect, and see if the condition persists.
