I'm new to Premiere Pro, and I don't know what this is called, but I assume it's to help with dissolves.

There's an automatic lead added to the playhead to show where the actual cut happens; I've included an image.

This happens on the timeline, program monitor, and source monitor.

This wouldn't bother me so much if the Program Monitor showed the footage at the marker, but overall its unintuitive and I always end up with a bunch of extra footage I have to trim later.

Is there a way to disable this?

Thanks!

It is an inclusive out point. Here's a pretty good explanation from the Final Cut manual: https://documentation.apple.com/en/finalcutpro/usermanual/index.html#chapte...

[Charis Hoo] "Is there a way to disable this?"

No.

Thank you!

This is what I wanted to see.
