Likely poor user methodology for this application but I'm trying to locate a particular part of an hour long interview in the raw footage. When doing the first pass story notes we mark sections with title blocks in the video tracks with story points rather than using markers because you can only see a bunch of marker points as opposed to 'visually seeing the text to indicate what's going on story-wise'...but I believe using markers here would help...

I was hoping to simply search my title bin for the story point, which I did, but there is no handy "right-click / show in sequence' command hahaha.

So I have to go back through zoomed in far enough to read the title story points in order to find this particular section.

Any tips to avoid/assist with such a task in future?

Thanks!

Jeff

Select title and click on the triangle in the Preview Area of the Project Window. Click on the link which will bring the playhead to that specific position in the timeline.
Or go into the metadata and check Used Footage; this also gives a triangle.

Sorry, Ann, I'm not seeing what you refer to. Are you able to post a screen grab?

Her prose style is a bit terse, but Anne is a guru.

Right Click the column in the project pane to reveal the Metadata Display...

From the display choose Video Usage (about half way down, not in alphabetical order).

Now you can see where it is and the playhead will snap to the time.

[Richard Herd] "Her prose style is a bit terse"

Had to look that one up.
Dont do long explanations, as English is not my first language.

s rather than using markers because you can only see a bunch of marker points as opposed to 'visually seeing the text to indicate what's going on story-wise'...but I believe using markers here would help...

Create a Marker> Lengthen the Duration in the Marker Entry Panel so you can see enough for an indication . Open the Marker Panel and you can see the rest of your Marker Content
